Welcome to HillCrest Farm! Thanks for visiting our new Website. Still under construction, we are adding and changing information frequently and hope to have much more to come. Please check back often.
Let me introduce ourselves: Rick, Alane, Colin and Miranda Paschall. We own a small family owned/operated horse farm in Northwest Tennessee. As a breeder, we concentrate on quality above quantity. Our broodmares are carefully selected based on confirmation, disposition, bloodlines and gait.
We often have a few horses for sale. Our upmost concern is placing each horse with the right family. We represent each horse as honestly and accurately as possible. If you are interested in any of our horses, we welcome you to visit our farm and test ride it yourself. We have a variety of settings to test the horse: pastures, woods, hills, ditches, creeks, arena, down a gravel drive and beside a busy highway. Hopefully, you can get a feel for what to expect from the animal as well as the confidence that it will perform to your expectation.
Rick is a park ranger at Paris Landing State Park and Alane is a foodservice broker. We are not professional horse traders. Our horses are our passion and our hobby. Each horse offered for sale has either been raised by us or chosen as one of our personal trail or show mounts.
We chose the Tennessee Walking Horse and the Spotted Saddle Horse for their wonderful dispositions and super smooth gaits. They are very versatile and both breeds excel on the rail or on the trail. They can run barrels or poles, jump, trail ride or team pen with the best of horses. You can glide along on an all-day trail ride and finish still feeling great, not tired. After years of raising and showing quarter horses, when we met the Spotted Saddle Horse, we found the best of all worlds: a flashy, smooth gaited companion.
Through our careful breeding program, we have been fortunate to have raised three World Grand Champions (Lite Shod, Western Lite Shod and Trail Pleasure). These horses are Calvin Klein's Obsession (TWHBEA 2xWGC and SSHBEA WGC), Calvin Klein's Mystery (TWHBEA WGC) and CK's Tennessee Titan (SSHBEA WGC).
Come see us in Northwest Tennessee, we would love to visit and show you all of our "family". Maybe you will choose to make one a part of yours!
If you want to be in the winners circle or if you enjoy trail riding, we can help you find your dream horse.
Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our horses.
The TWH and the SSH both feature gentle, willing dispositions. Their gait is a smooth 4-beat gait that can carry their riders comfortably over long distances or rough terrain. If your needs or back are preventing you from riding, these horses can get you back in the saddle again. For this reason, gaited horses are the choice of many "Baby Boomers".
HillCrest Farm is proud to be a part of Tennessee horse heritage by featuring and promoting these exceptional horses. They are truly a horse for the people.
